Kacha Focus

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 11, 2026.

Kacha Focus (“we,” “our,” or the “App”) is a personal focus and productivity app. This Privacy Policy explains the information processed when you use the App and its website, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

1. Information the App Processes

Depending on the features you choose, the App processes the following information:

Photos and visual content

Images you capture with the camera or choose through Apple's photo picker; extracted subjects, sticker artwork, effect masks, thumbnails, and images or videos you choose to export.

Sticker organization choices, including collection names and icons.

The App processes subject extraction and effects on your device. It saves sticker artwork locally, primarily as HEIC files; effect masks may be PNG. The photo picker gives access only to items you select. When you save an export, the App requests add-only Photos access.

Focus activity and preferences

Focus and break timing, completion status, assigned sticker or collection, focus history, and any focus feeling you choose to record.

Settings such as appearance, timer, sound, haptics, and optional iCloud sync.

The current release does not request HealthKit access or run Screen Time app monitoring. Records created in earlier development builds may remain in local or synced focus history.

Optional music information

If you use Apple Music or connect Spotify, the App may read the current track title, artist, artwork, playback position and duration, provider, and track identifier to show or control playback. A snapshot of the music playing during a focus session may be saved with that session on your device. Spotify authorization tokens are stored on your device to reconnect.

Purchases

Apple StoreKit supplies product details and verified purchase entitlements so the App can offer, unlock, and restore Pro features. Apple processes billing and payment credentials; we do not receive your full card details.

Technical information

The App may show operational errors returned by Apple frameworks or connected music services. The current App has no third-party advertising or analytics SDK and does not use cross-app tracking.

2. How Information Is Used

The App uses this information to:

Create and display stickers, run timers, organize focus history, show music visuals, and generate exports you choose to share.

Save your preferences and restore an active focus or break.

Synchronize supported data through your private iCloud account if you enable Pro iCloud sync.

Verify and restore purchases and deliver system notifications and Live Activities you enable.

Display feature errors and maintain the App's reliability.

3. Storage and iCloud Synchronization

On-device storage

Working data is stored on your device by default, including sticker files, focus records, settings, and Spotify authorization state. Subject extraction and visual rendering occur on the device. The App does not require a separate Kacha Focus account.

Optional private iCloud storage

If you have Pro access and enable iCloud sync, Apple CloudKit stores supported records in your private iCloud database. These records include sticker artwork and editable assets, collections, focus objects, session times and status, and sync metadata. HEIC artwork and PNG masks may be uploaded as CloudKit assets.

Music track titles, listening snapshots, artwork, Spotify authorization tokens, and any device-private Screen Time authorization tokens are not included in the App's CloudKit sync records. Apple handles iCloud under your Apple account and its own privacy terms. Disabling sync stops future synchronization; it does not automatically delete records already in iCloud.

4. Apple and Third-Party Services

The features you choose may use:

Apple Camera, Photos, and on-device image frameworks for capture, selected-image import, subject extraction, rendering, and saving exports.

Apple iCloud and CloudKit for optional synchronization in your private iCloud account.

Apple Music and MediaPlayer for optional playback information and controls.

Spotify App Remote for optional Spotify authorization, playback information, artwork, and controls.

Apple StoreKit and the App Store for purchases, subscriptions, entitlement checks, restoration, and billing.

Apple notifications, Live Activities, and app-group storage for timers and related system experiences.

Apple and Spotify process information under their own policies. The App does not sell your personal information or share it with data brokers or advertisers.

5. Permissions and Your Choices

You can grant or deny the relevant permissions through iOS settings. You can also:

Choose whether to take a photo or import a selected image, and allow add-only Photos access only when saving an export.

Use the App without connecting Apple Music or Spotify; disconnect Spotify through the App or revoke access through Spotify account controls.

Turn off notifications and optional iCloud sync.

Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

Withdrawing permission stops future access but may not erase content already stored on your device, in your private iCloud account, or by a connected service.

6. Retention and Deletion

Local records remain until you delete them in the App or remove the App from your device. Removing the App deletes local app storage but does not necessarily delete copies already synchronized to your private iCloud account or held by Apple or Spotify. To remove synchronized stickers and focus records, delete them in the App while sync is enabled and allow those deletions to synchronize. You may also manage your iCloud data using Apple's available controls.

Apple retains purchase history under its policies. Connected music services retain their own account information under their policies.

7. Website Language Preferences and Contact Emails

The website reads your browser's language setting to select its initial language. When you choose a language from the language menu, we save that choice only in this browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember it for later visits. This preference is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and the website has no advertising or third-party analytics scripts. You can change the language at any time or delete this preference by clearing this website's data in your browser. Browsing the website does not require an account.

If you contact us at chetesy@gmail.com, we process the email address, message, and any name, screenshots, or other attachments you choose to provide only to answer your inquiry, troubleshoot an issue, or handle a privacy request, not for marketing. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, or payment details.

Messages are sent, received, and stored using Gmail. Google processes email-service data under its Privacy Policy. We retain correspondence only for as long as needed to handle your request, allow reasonable follow-up, or meet legal obligations. You can request deletion through the same email address; if the law requires us to retain certain information, we will explain this to you.

8. Security

Kacha Focus uses Apple platform protections, device storage controls, system permission prompts, and encrypted network connections provided by Apple and connected services. No system can guarantee absolute security, and you should protect access to your device and Apple account.

9. Children’s Privacy

Kacha Focus is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the applicable jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated account service.

10. International Users and Legal Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Much of Kacha Focus’s data is controlled directly through the App, your device, your private iCloud account, or the connected service.

Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice.

12. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact Zhangqin (individual developer) at chetesy@gmail.com. This policy is intended for users wherever the App is available; mandatory rights under applicable local law remain unaffected.
